- How does Thanh and his family look after the Thung Chai boat?
The thung chai if it is looked after well it should last for five or six years. The fishermen will cover the boats with palm fronds when not using them and also to protect the thung chai from the hot sun.
2. The boat is made from natural resources. What are the resources?
The natural resources from which the boat is made are bamboo, sticky resin from a special tree and water.
3. Find pictures of all of the resources needed to make and care for this boat.

4. Would we be able to make these boats here in New Zealand?
No we can't make these boats in New Zealand because we don't have the special tree that makes the resin here in NZ.
